Description

The winery is situated in Ivaylovgrad, a town located in the remote regions of the Southern Bulgaria s Eastern Rhodopes. With its proximity to the Mediterranean or White Sea at just 70 km away, the area benefits from the influence of the white wind, a phenomenon that greatly enhances the aromatic qualities of the grapes. The local environment is characterized by a semi-arid climate and soils reminiscent of cinnamon-coloured mountains.

The vineyards, exclusively owned and boasting approximately two decades of growth, sprawl across the outskirts of Ivaylovgrad. The wine itself is a blend composed of 40% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 20% Rubin, resulting in a ruby hue enriched by delicate crimson undertones. The aromas are notably intense, marked by the presence of ripe blackcurrants, plums, and cherries. As for the palate, it offers a seamlessly smooth and harmonious experience, concluding with a lingering, gentle finish.

In terms of food pairings, this wine pairs excellently with barbecued dishes like burgers, and sausages, or with pasta served with tomato sauce, as well as terrines.
